LEAVES ARE FALLING, HUNGER IS RISING!

Hello hungry monsters! Halloween just passed and in case you ate too much candy, put on your rain boots and check out all the new openings our relentless scouts have collected for you to try out. Also keep your eyes open for our fun list of pop-ups and restaurant rumours that are making the rounds. In case you are lost in autumn melancholia and need something to warm you up, you can explore some of our favorite restaurants via our festival partner Restaurant Week.

A couple of hot spots that should be on your radar: Goldies Bar on KaDeWe’s 6th floor providing an unprecedented, high-end burger bar experience with killer sliders and drinks. Also, Roman pizza king, Gabriele Bonci, has come to Berlin and proves he has the crunch with his new joint Pizza Del Quartiere as they churn out Al Taglio Pizza from their ovens. And in case you haven’t heard the news, Tacos El Rey was just named the first restaurant in the world to receive the official Mexican “M” seal from the Mexican Embassy for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Miso Lab: Reopening November 8th to bring their miso fermentation expertise as dashi connoisseurs.

Arre: Providing Mexican food to-go, catering and produce with vegan and halal options.

Munchies: The cross-over street food sensation just opened their new spacious Kreuzberg location - expect birria tacos, smash burgers and fried chicken sandwiches, all of which are halal.

Rüya Gemüse Kebap: Second location opening of the classic Rüya Döner Kebap (the original that Rüyam was based upon).

Tupac: Reopening their New Latin American styled food with high quality products.

Lawash Tantuni: Anatolian Cuisine serving tantuni, meze and soups.

Bolle Pizza: Pizza joint from Hamburg with Neopolitan pizzas and folded pizza sandwiches.

Pizza Del Quartiere: Chef Gabriele Bonci from Netflix’s Chef Table is serving quality Roman style pizza in his new joint and isn’t shy to add a crunch

INGWER: Buzzing all day hangout for creatives where you can find coffee, wine and great tunes with DJ’s who know what they’re doing.

somedayinHaNoi: Serving pieces of Hanoi with crunchy banh mi’s, coffee and sweet delights on Prenzlauer Allee.

Kailash Parbat: Third generation family business that started in Bombay and became the worlds largest pure vegetarian Indian restaurant chain serving since 1952.

La Maison: Bread and pastry haven coming to Prenzlauer Berg as a cheeky pop-up offering 1€ coffees on November 2nd.

Schwips Bar: Zero waste, local produce, home made dishes with Asian/Mediterranean flavors.

Bamnat 030: Growing from pop up and a residency they became Modern Korean bistro bringing Korean soul food into the fold with vegan options.

Goldies Bar: KaDeWe 6th floor gem! Check out their mouth watering buffalo wings. amazing sliders, bubbly, and their signature burgers.

Sori Ramen: From Frankfurt to Mainz, and finally we get to see what their real deal ramen looks like at their sleek and minimal designed restaurant.

Inari-san: Coming from Frankfurt am Main to bring you their signature inari.

Selca Cafe: Matcha, homemade lemonades and intriguing looking “croffles”.

Our Sake Club: The legendary sake shop that’s co-owned by Richie Hawtin just re-opened in Kreuzberg

Ishinoya: Japanese comfort food and Katsu Schnitzel on Schönhauser Allee.

Bao Gao Club: Markthalle Neun’s dumpling champions Bao Gao Club are opening a restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg

CLOSINGS

Cozymazu: The iconic Taiwanese comfort food and tea house in Wedding’s Sprengelkiez closed its doors at the end of October.

Richard Bistro: After 13 years, the former Michelin-starred restaurant-turned-bistro, will be closing their doors on December 15th.

Fergy: Detroit deep pan pizza from Fergy on Rosenthaler seems to have seized their business at this location.

Ergüns Fischbude: The Deutsche Bahn doesn’t want to continue the soon to expire lease agreement on this 30 year Turkish seafood hallmark of a restaurant.

Zessin Bäckerei: All 3 branches serving customers handmade ‘Schrippen’ since 1938 will be closing soon.

No Bananas: After 7 years of upscale,Turkish cuisine in several locations, No Bananas are bidding goodbye to good memories.

Cai Kitchen: Szechuan vegan Chinese specialty spot on Schönhauser Alle has closed its doors for good.

🔥 BFS x Restaurant Week 2025🔥

RUMORS & NEWS

Nobelhart & Schmutzig: The fine dining institution is open every Monday for the rest of the year (until Dec 29th) in a true “vom Berghain direkt ins Nobelhart” fashion. They are also returning their legendary FETTSCHNITZEL from Nov 10th, which they premiered last year - so time to book your revisit!

Theke goes Ora: Starting October 16th, Wedding’s lunch champion Theke moved to their big sister restaurant ORA for the winter season. Lunch is served from Thursday to Saturday, 12h–15h.

Kuréme: Elegantly went through their last week for the season, but that doesn’t mean Kuréme will disappear. Surprises await you during the Fall and winter with take-away pints. Their sister project The Bun Society is returning!

LIU Noodle Haus: Bernhard is leaving LIU. Full confession on their post

Fit Green Mind: Food content queen, Maya, from Fit Green Mind is opening up a cafe. Stay tuned to figure out the when and where!

Halo Bagels: Offering their second ‘Snack Run’ on 08.11. Pluto retreats is collaborating with Halo Bagels to keep you fit with a 5km run, followed by bagels, juice and coffee from Halo.

Berlin Tea Festival: On November 8th and 9th, Germany’s biggest and Europe’s first tea festival. With more than 70 exhibitors, tea tastings, talks, workshops, samples and ceremonies. A soothing looking festival.

JAJA: On October 24th and 25th chef bobbywidjaya served their goodbye special of a Chinese and Indonesian influenced menu. It looked brilliant.

Nomad: Added new brunch menu items as a decadent nod to the north, such as Smørrebrød with brown shrimp salad, rye bread and trout caviar. Or french toast with tiramisu cream, quince, smoked almonds and coffee-maple syrup. An elevated take on a brunch favorite, golden toast, velvety cream and a touch of autumn freshness.

W Pizza: The pizza joint just teamed up with Five Elephant to launch their Kreuzkölln brunch club. Saturdays and Sundays at the Neukölln location

Nai: Bringing Old Lahore, Pakistan, to Berlin. A project undertaking promising an honest meal derived from heritage.

dia‘Z: Honing their taco skill sin Guadalajara’s food stalls, the birthplace of the birria. Their beef birria simmers for 11 hours and awaits you!

Circles: Ready to shape a multi-sensory journey with food, records and drinks.

Mur Mur: Culinary duo serving seasonal Slavic plant based dining.

Mao Mao: Thai grilled pork skewers, beef laab, coconut dumplings with palm sugar type of pop up. Check them out for upcoming events.

Nainavood: Indian fusion stirring colorful vegan dishes from a passionate Punjabi chef.

Pierogi Social Club: Pirogi are pulling up to Berlin as they bring Polish comfort food to the capital.

Casa Levant: Middle Eastern specialty services is their motto. Pop ups, cocktails, music, and mezze in a jar.

Introvert: An re-introduction to the magic of healing plants, such as adaptogenic soft-serve ice cream. Long lost ancient plant knowledge coming back through Introvert.

Nona Manis: Two Indonesian ladies baking away at their first pop up and creating community one piece of cake at a time.

Nak: Their 4th pop up offering a seasonal 5 course meal with 5 paired glasses of wine and music.

Socarrat: A passionate paella maker from Valencia providing the real deal black seafood paella. They also deliver paella in the pan and can pick it up afterwards, no hassle!
